Benefit Corporation: a decision that guides how we do business

For Molino Pasini, becoming a Benefit Corporation is a defining choice—one that shapes the company’s future while reinforcing its long-term identity. It reflects a clear understanding that quality extends beyond the flour itself to encompass the entire ecosystem that makes it possible: the people working in the mill, the agricultural supply chain, the professionals who transform the product every day, the consumers who choose it, and the territory that supports and sustains it.

By embedding common-benefit objectives into its Articles of Association, Molino Pasini has formalised its commitment to people, communities and the environment, aligning economic growth with social and environmental responsibility. Sustainability is therefore integrated into corporate governance and becomes a concrete benchmark for evaluating strategic decisions—from technological investments to training, from supplier selection to customer service development.

Being a Benefit Corporation means adopting a strategy grounded in measurement, transparency and continuous improvement. Commitments are translated into measurable targets and reported annually in the Impact Report, which accompanies the company’s growth and strengthens engagement with all stakeholders.

This is a forward-looking path, rooted in the knowledge of milling and in a culture of excellence, with the aim of generating long-term, shared value in line with Molino Pasini’s core principles.

SUSTAINABILITY GOVERNANCE: THE B TEAM

Molino Pasini’s journey as a Benefit Corporation is guided by a dedicated internal structure: the B Team, a cross-functional working group representing the company’s core areas and responsible for integrating ESG principles into both strategic and operational decisions.

The B Team includes representatives from production, quality, purchasing, administration and marketing, along with a member of the Board of Directors, who also acts as Impact Officer.

This structure ensures a comprehensive view of business processes and supports a holistic approach to sustainability across the entire value chain, while fostering dialogue and collaborative project development.
Bringing together technical, operational and managerial expertise allows sustainability objectives to be translated into concrete, measurable actions embedded in everyday operations—ensuring that sustainability is not confined to isolated initiatives or a single department.

The B Team works in close coordination with senior management and is responsible for:

  • Defining ESG priorities in line with common-benefit objectives
  • Identifying and monitoring impact indicators
  • Proposing improvement initiatives and strategic investments
  • Promoting a culture of sustainability across the organisation

This approach reflects a clear conviction: sustainability is not a finite project, but an ongoing process that requires listening, expertise and shared responsibility. Through the work of the B Team, Molino Pasini reinforces a participatory business model in which people actively contribute to shaping the company’s future and guiding its development.
